Accessible communications

Our aim is to be fully accessible to you as a customer or a member of our communities to be able to talk to us in either a traditional or digital way.

Whilst we still use the traditional methods of communication for people to get in touch with us over the phone, email and even letters, we know that you may need support in accessing our services.

Here you can find lots of different ways that you can get in touch with us, or request for us to contact you, that will hopefully meet your needs.

If you do have a specific need and want to make us aware, you can do this in a number of ways. If possible, you can:

Is something missing? Do you have a need for a specific method of contact that isn't here? Let us know!

Hard of hearing

We know that not everyone can contact us over the phone so we have a dedicated text line for those who are hard of hearing.

Between the hours of 8am-7pm, Monday to Friday, you can text 07799477252.

Outside of these hours, during Bank Holidays, weekends, and Christmas Close down days text 07929080056 to our out of hours emergency repairs service to report an emergency repair only. You will receive a text back to acknowledge receipt of your text.

Translations

If you need communications, such as letters, flyers or even policies sent to you in your first language, we can do this for you.

Please let us know in any of the ways above so we can update your information to make sure that any communications is sent in the language you need.

If you need to speak to us in person or over the phone and need a translator to support, we can also arrange this. Please let us know with as much notice as possible so we can arrange this for you.

Website - accessibility features

In 2023 we built a brand new, fully accessible website to be able to give you all the information you need for living in our homes.

Not only does it look fantastic, it also offers lots of ways for you to customise your experience.

Our website is fully readable and will scale and be responsive to any setting you have on any device. So if you have impaired sight, our website will be able to be read by a screen reader easily.

We also have an accessibility tool called Reachdeck. This can be found in the bottom right corner of any page of our site.

On here you can select a number of options, including:

  • translating in to any language,
  • audio reading in any language,
  • magnifying text,
  • downloading text as audio,
  • simplifying text to remove images,
  • picture dictionaries;
  • and more.
Braille and large print

If you or someone in your household need support with letters and communications being in large print or braille, this is something else we can support with.

Let us know in any of the ways above and we can arrange this for you.
