From 6 January 2026, the World of Work (WOW) team will relocate from Denaby Main after successfully completing repairs to 592 bungalows.
During this programme, customers benefited from safer access through trip hazard removal, cleared and repaired guttering, and minor external works including gates, fencing, and brickwork.
The team will now move to Rossington, where a further 407 bungalow customers will benefit from the high-quality service delivered by Nigel, John, and the WoW operatives.
The WOW scheme not only delivers real improvements to our customers’ homes, but also provides invaluable opportunities for participants. The programme offers paid employment, accredited training, and structured mentoring, supporting individuals back into sustainable work. Many of the recent WoW participants have also been successful in securing permanent roles (including apprenticeships) with us, once their time on the WoW scheme comes to an end.
Recruitment takes place every six months for new WoW trainees.
