We are proud to tell you that we have been awarded accreditation by the Housing Diversity Network!
The Housing Diversity Network (HDN) Accreditation is a peer led examination of the policies, strategies and procedures that govern the way we operate from an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion perspective. The accreditation also looks how we interact with our colleagues and customers and involves the HDN holding consultations with both groups to get a real-world view on how we are doing and where improvement is needed.
In many cases applicants for HDN Accreditation have an initial assessment and will then implement any required changes, before having a second assessment where they aim to achieve the accreditation. In our case we have already done a lot of work in the area of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) so we were delighted to be awarded HDN Accreditation on our first attempt!
We are acutely aware however that the area of EDI, and the needs of our colleagues and customers, is ever changing – and with that in mind we will continue to work hard and strive for equality of opportunity for everyone. We are constantly looking at how we can adjust our services to fit with the needs of customers, be that the introduction of our Voicescape telephone service or the setting up of involvement groups.
