Local housing provider St Leger Homes of Doncaster has today signed the Time to Change Employer Pledge.
The Time to Change Employer Pledge demonstrates the organisation’s commitment to change how people think and act about mental health in the workplace and make sure that employees who are facing mental health problems feel supported.
Paul Tanney, Chief Executive of St Leger Homes, said:
“As an organisation, we want to ensure we create an environment where people can talk about mental health and get support when they need it. 1 in 4 workers in the UK are affected by conditions like anxiety, depression and stress every year and it’s important that issues like this aren’t a taboo.
“We’ve taken many important steps in improving the way mental health issues are treated across the business – including establishing a network of mental health first aiders in each of our workplaces.
“It’s great to be able to sign this Employer Pledge today with our staff Wellbeing Group representatives. This is something we have been working on together for many months to ensure we deliver an action plan which will help meet the needs of our staff. We’re delighted to be putting the mental health of our staff at the heart of our work.”
