St Leger Homes of Doncaster is pleased to announce that it has achieved a five-star grading from its recent Five Star Occupational Health and Safety Audit conducted by the British Safety Council for the seventh year running.
The local housing provider underwent a detailed, quantified and objective evaluation of its occupational health and safety management system. The audit measured their performance against a number of key best practice indicators, and they achieved the highest available rating.
The British Safety Council’s Five Star Occupational Health and Safety Audit provides organisations with a worldwide benchmark of their safety management systems against current best practice to enable continual improvement. The audit covers five best practice indicators – leadership, stakeholder engagement, risk management, organisational health and safety culture and continual improvement – which are continually assessed throughout the audit process.
Paul Tanney, Chief Executive of St Leger Homes, said:
“We’re delighted that for the seventh year running we have achieved the highest possible rating for our Occupational Health and Safety Audit from the British Safety Council. We take health and safety incredibly seriously and want our staff to be healthy and happy in the workplace and for our tenants to be safe in their homes and communities. This is a great achievement which we are very proud of.”
