In 2000 the Government made a commitment to improve the quality of public housing to a decent standard. They introduced the Decent Homes Standard as a minimum standard that council homes had to meet. St. Leger Homes is going above this set standard by introducing the Doncaster Decency Standard.

The Government has set the Decent Homes Standard as a minimum standard for all public housing.
