• Never mix different types of cleaners as they could give off gasses or even explode
• Chemicals and household cleaners should always be stored securely
• Consider having a lockable cabinet for medicines and chemicals
• Always keep medicines in their original containers
• Do not take other peoples medicine or let them take yours
• Return left over medicines to the chemist for destruction – don’t hoard them
• Keep medicines, chemicals and cleaning products out of children’s reach
• Cosmetics, perfumes and essential oils should be kept away from children
