Hate Crime is an incident perceived by a person as motivated by
prejudice linked to race, religion, gender or gender identity,
sexual orientation, disability or age.
Seven new Hate Crime Reporting Centres have been launched across
Doncaster to support council tenants who have been victims of hate
crime.
The centres are based at existing St Leger Homes' offices
at:
- Council House, College Road, Doncaster
- Emerson Avenue, Stainforth
- Sandbeck House Office, St James Street, Balby Bridge
- McConnell Crescent, Rossington
- The Bridge Centre, Bridge Street, Thorne
- Church Street, Conisbrough
- Adwick Town Hall, Windmill Balk Lane, Adwick le Street
Anyone who has suffered from a hate crime can attend one of the
offices and speak to specially trained staff in
confidence.
The centres, launched in partnership with South Yorkshire
Police, are easily accessible and hate crime can be reported
anonymously. The crime can be reported by anyone who is aware
of the incident, not just the victim.
If you are unable to visit one of our offices you can make your
report by telephone. Please see our Useful Contacts page
for the contact details of our area offices.
