Gas Safety and Servicing
What to do if you smell gas or believe there is a leak:
- Do not smoke or use a naked flame
- Do not touch electrical switches
- Open doors and windows
- Turn off gas at the mains. Check that a gas appliance has not
been left on or unlit.

Gas servicing
Servicing to gas appliances is carried out on
an annual basis and you do not need to contact us to book
this. The annual service is a legal requirement for a landlord and
you must permit access to your home for this work.
If you do not, we could forcibly enter your home to carry out the
service.
Failure to permit
access will result in legal action being taken against
you and you will be charged court costs in excess of
£270.
If you have received a card or letter regarding no access for
your gas service you must contact the Gas Section
immediately to arrange access on:

We will:
- Service gas appliances for which we are responsible
for every year
- Write to you giving you seven days notice
- Provide you with a copy of the gas service
certificate
